Coconut shy in neopets

1. The Game

   • Coconut Shy is played by throwing tennis balls at coconuts sitting on poles. You aim the ball with your mouse and click to throw. Hitting a coconut gets 50 NP, almost knocking a coconut down gets you 300 NP and actually knocking one down earns 10,000 NP and a special prize. Each day you get 20 throws, and you can't buy more until the next day.

   Basic Strategies

   • The coconuts come in several different sizes, so one key strategy is to aim for the larger ones. The coconuts change places with each throw, so it's actually best to just aim for one spot to ensure accuracy. One way to keep on target is to aim at the center of the "a" when "play again" appears.

   Other Tips

   • Many of the coconuts are "glued" or "nailed" to the posts, and many Neopets players consider the game rigged. It is possible to win by aiming repeatedly at the same coconut because that increases the odds of knocking it over. There is also an unconfirmed rumor that you have better odds on your birthday. If you manage to knock over a coconut, in addition to the 10,000 NP you get a special gift: a coconut added to your stamp, coin and coconut collection.

Just as the name might suggest to you, this is a poisonous jelly! Do not feed it to your pet. Chances are, it will make them very sick (with Neomonia) and won't even fill them up ;) However, if the disease is relatively cheap to cure and it's a good idea to feed your pet with Poisonous Jelly if you pet have caught a rare and expensive to cure disease.

Glowing Jelly

It's been reported by a few people that feeding their pet with a Glowing Jelly turned them into the Glowing color permanently (just as a paint brush would do). If you care about the color of your pet, do not feed them Glowing Jelly!

Pirate Jelly?

Around the 15th of the month of Hunting of Year 10, Pirate Jelly was awarded by the Giant Jelly. This was a glitch, as TNT admitted in the Editorial of the Neopian Times.

Arrrrr the Pirate Jellies still being released at the Giant Jelly? Arrrrr they glitched like I have heard they might be? If they arrr and I unknowingly buy one from a scallywag, will I have to walk the plank (be punished) or have it taken away from me? Thanks, matey! ~jennyspet62301
Arr, we do not be knowin' what ye be talkin' about. Thar be no Giant Jelly in Neopia. If Pirate Jellies were bein' released at something like that, though, ye can be sure it were a mistake and were soon corrected. If ye imagined that ye got a Pirate Jelly from the imaginary thing, then ye be welcome to keep it.

The Giant Jelly has been eaten!

Occasionally throughout the day, the Jelly Keeper blocks you from grabbing a slice; you have to wait for the Jelly to set again, ready for the next batch! This happens randomly, and coming back in an hour or two may let you grab a bowl of the Jelly again, just be patient!
